In 1941 the Americans need a stop gap mobile anti-tank vehicle. The 75mm M1897A4 gun was available in sufficient numbers and this was fitted to a modified M3 half-track Production of the 75mm GMC M3 and M3A1 started in February 1942 and finished in April 43 with 2116 vehicles produced.
Our model of the 75mm GMC has been upgraded to our “Supercast” quality with a one-piece resin hull, tracks and wheels, with a resin gun shield it fully represents an iconic tank destroyer.
The kit has a metal gun barrel, three standing gun crew figures, two heads in American helmets and a front roller all in high quality white metal.
The model is supplied unpainted and will require assembly, however this is very simple and can be completed in around five minutes.
