This is a Thirteen man Marine Rifle squad representative of 1944 and 1945. In 1944 the rifle squad composition changed due to combat experience in the Pacific war and now comprised three fire teams each led by a corporal and including a two man BAR team, the squad would be led by a sergeant.
The Marine rifle squad would typically contain the following.
A sergeant and 3 corporals with carbines, rifles or smg’s
3 BAR riflemen
6 riflemen.
