Of all the weapons systems that the Soviets produced in the second world war the Katyusha rocket system is one of the most impressive. A multiple rocket launcher on a simple rail framework that could be fitted a variety of vehicles and could deliver a devastating payload. From 1942 the BM13-16 frame was fitted to the numerous lend-lease vehicles that were becoming available. This version is on a Studebaker truck.
Our Katyusha Studebaker is cast in our “Supercast” format with the main vehicle a single piece. The frame and rockets are cast in quality white metal, as well as the armoured cab.
The model is supplied unpainted and will require assembly, though anyone with competent modelling skill will not have a problem.
